Sitara is an exclusive private residency, surrounded by nature, and with outstanding natural beauty.   The villa is in the unspoiled south of the island which remains unaffected by over-development.

The Villa

From the private car park, the steps navigate around an impressive granite rock that forms the edge of the large lotus pond, positioned at the entrance of the villa, with its colourful catfish, carp and turtles.

Entering the spacious open plan living area with high elevated ceiling, you have an impressive 180 degree beautiful ocean view, which also can be enjoyed from the three balconies that form part of the living area. 

Blessed with natural light, this highly attractive living area consists of a very large L-shaped luxury sofa, coffee table and 55" Smart TV with Netflix, Youtube, etc. .  The circular dining table has seating for up to 8 people should you wish to invite and entertain guests in this idyllic tropical setting.  The kitchen area consists of a fully-equipped western-style fitted kitchen, complete with breakfast bar. A gas barbecue is also provided. The villa also provides a washing maching with drying area on the lower section.

Outside is a large, private, infinity edge swimming pool and decking with sun beds with sensational ocean views.

Also on this level is a partially open shower room, complete with WC and washbasin, uniquely designed around a gigantic granite rock which provides an individual feature.

The gas barbecue is also provided where you can cook freshly caught fish or meat from the local market and enjoy a romantic dinner with the backdrop of the twinkling lights of the fishing boats out at sea.    

From the balcony, steps lead you down to the bedroom en-suite which has a king sized bed, fitted wardrobes, dressing table, air conditioning and fan.  From the bedroom, sliding doors lead you out onto the balcony, with its own small colourful garden, where you can sit, relax and enjoy the tranquil tropical setting.  The en-suite bathroom consists of bath tub, shower, vanity unit and WC, and has been created using the classic touch and feel of Terrazzo to give a cool and sophisticated look.

The unique feature of the bedroom and en-suite is the stunning look and imaginative display of the beautifully-formed rock formation.

The villa is installed with fibre optic wifi.

Location

Villa Crystal is located at Sitara Retreat which is situated close to the southern tip of the island.  Nearby to the villa many of the island’s main attractions are only a short drive away, which include Lamai beach, Waterfalls, Elephant trekking, Grandmother, Grandfather Rocks, amongst others.  There are many fine and varied restaurants serving Thai and Western dishes, all within 5-10 minutes drive from the villa.

Amphoe Ko Samui Stadium, only a 5 min drive away, is home to many popular sports events, where visitors can come to watch the activities. It is located in an attractive area, surrounded by a lake/reservoir where there is a football field, basketball etc and you can also walk around or jog with lots of shade. Also outdoor fitness park with brightly coloured exercise equipment which is free to use.

Just remember nowhere on the island is more than 50 minutes away.

With the Lotus Tesco Superstore and the popular large food supermarket, Makro located in Lamai, and 24hr Family Marts & 7-11’s everywhere, your every need is catered for.

Getting Around

With the villa being located in a quieter part of the island, driving can be a more pleasurable experience.  To go to the beach, restaurants, local attractions etc, we do strongly recommend the use of the complimentary vehicle which we provide for you with this booking.  However, If you do not feel a confident driver, and do not wish to make use of the car, there are several private hire car companies (of which we can give you telephone numbers so that you can make your own arrangements) that can pick you up at the entrance of Sitara, which is a 4 or 5 minute walk down the hill.  Should you decide to use the private hire facility this will be at your own cost.
There is private parking for a vehicle at the Villa.

General

The southern part of the island where the villa is located remains pretty much unspoiled, especially compared to the north. It still has that rustic charm appeal that the whole of Samui boasted years ago. We are frequently told by guests they find the Thai people in this southern part of the island extremely hospitable, and welcoming.  In the north where it is far more crowded and touristy on the island there is not always the opportunity to discover the true warmth and charm of the local people. The beaches on the south remain undeveloped, due mainly to the shallow coastline. If you like to explore you can still find areas where you have the beach to yourself, and never too far away you will find a Thai restaurant where you can enjoy true authentic local dishes.

We provide complimentary pick up for guests from the Samui airport / ferry terminal / hotel to your Villa and a return journey at the end of the visit (one in each direction).
